Etienne Orr-Ewing

Etienne is a passionate lawyer that is committed to getting the best possible outcomes for his clients. Since being called to the bar in 2010, Etienne has been successful in the Supreme Court in British Columbia, as well as mediations, and he proves every day that he is not afraid to go the distance to fight for his clients.
Etienne completed his law degree from the University of New Brunswick after completing his Master’s in Applied Health Services Research in the Faculty of Medicine. Starting his career defending catastrophic personal injury claims, Etienne quickly found his true passion lay in fighting for the people who need representation.
Born in Vancouver, Etienne is a dedicated husband and father. As a bilingual Canadian who has lived in 7 countries and travelled to over 30, Etienne has a true appreciation for Canada’s diversity. These experiences assist Etienne to understand the unique cultural and linguistic needs of his clients and to provide the support they need to feel comfortable and informed throughout the process.
Etienne was a professional basketball player who has transferred his work ethic, competitiveness and drive on the court into his work and his involvement with the community. He advanced from being Chair of the New Lawyers Committee of the Trial Lawyers Association of BC (“TLABC”) to being elected as a member of the Executive of the entire TLABC, consisting of over 1400 members, keeping him involved and at the leading edge of advancements in his field. Within his community Etienne promotes sport and healthy life choices as a former Director with the Hooplaw Society and is currently the acting Vice President of Night Hoops which is a charity that provides access to basketball and life learning sessions for underprivileged and at risk youth.

PARALEGAL AND BUSINESS MANAGER
Sophia has been working in the field of law since 2015, after completing her Paralegal and Legal Administration studies at Capilano University. Sophia is a key client liaison and assists with case preparation, legal research, and client communication. Sophia is dedicated to making a difference for our clients and is passionate about human rights and fair and equitable treatment.
One of the most important tasks as a paralegal is working directly with clients to help them feel informed and reassured throughout their litigation process. She takes pride in being approachable and ensuring that our clients feel supported every step of the way. Sophia is fluent in both English and Cantonese which allows her to assist a broader range of clients within the community.
Born and raised in Vancouver, Sophia grew up in a close-knit family with two sisters and loving parents. She loves to travel, discover new foods, maintain an active lifestyle through fitness, and spend time with her dog, Jax.
